i my name is Emily Green and I have been playing the violin for four years and counting. I guess that means I have been playing for half my life. I started playing in competitions when I was 8 years old. My first competition was the Selkirk Triple “S”. Fair & Rodeo and I placed 1st. My second competition was the Festival Du Voyageurs. When I was 9 years old, I placed 1st again. My last competition was the John Arcand Fiddle Fest in Saskatoon and I placed 7th. It was awesome, I had so much fun! I would like to thank my teacher Glen and Kaitlyn O. for inspiring me to keep playing. I look up to them as musicians and for support through some hard choices I’ve had to make lately. Also I would like to thank my mom my #1 fan, Oh and so is my Papa, Nana, and all my family. I really love the after jams with all the people I’ve met. I hope you really enjoy the songs I chose for the Music Fest. Good Times!
